THE WORKSHOP ALMANAC
Eight afternoons on the farm
I.
The fields wake slowly on the island, and May is mostly bulbs & branches. It suits a low, quiet centerpiece.
Spring
May
Long days and full rows. We grow, still and arrange, and finish the summer with dahlias at their peak in August.
II.
Summer
June - August
As the season turns we work with dye plants, then dried flowers. Everything you make this time of year lasts for months.
III.
Autumn
September - November
One last gathering before the stand closes for the year: island greens, warm cider and a wreath for your door.
IV.
Winter
December
WORKSHOP NOTES
Good to know

No. Every workshop is taught from the beginning, and the intensives move at the group's pace. Seasoned growers and florists come too, and leave with new techniques.
-
Wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get wet or stained. Bring a sun hat in summer and layers in autumn. We provide tools, but you're welcome to bring your own snips.
-
We go ahead rain or shine. The design part takes place under the barn eaves. If there's a storm warning, we'll text you the day before and move you to another date.
-
Half-day workshops include tea and a farm snack. Both two-day intensives include lunch made with farm produce and wood-fired pizza. Tell us about any dietary needs when you book.
-
We give a full refund up to 14 days before the workshop. After that we can't refund, but you can send a friend in your place or switch to another date if there's room.
-
Bookings of up to four people can be made online. For six or more, or a private session for a party or team, please get in touch and we'll plan a date.
